Frances Milton was born on March 6, 1779, the daughter of a clergyman. In her late twenties, she married Thomas Anthony Trollope, with whom she had seven children. She travelled widely with her children, publishing books on each of her six international journeys. Additionally, she also wrote and published over thirty novels. She died on October 6th, 1863.
